Hello December! Hello Monday! This is my favourite month of the year and I’m already feeling festive and excited! Have you started any holiday preparations yet? I woke up to a much colder weather in London today, so winter is officially here!
In this post I wanted to show you one of the must-see places in Bali. It’s called Tanah Lot temple and this is where you get one of the most breathtaking sunset views. This place is truly beautiful and nothing like I’ve seen before. So I hope you enjoy the pictures!
The cute animal with a funny nose who you’ll spot in the pictures is called a luwak and he is the famous Balinese coffee ‘producer’. If you’ve never heard about him you’ll be quite surprised by his talents. He basically eats coffee beans and later… how do I put it nicely… poops (oops!) them out and people use those beans to make a decaf coffee. I know how it all sounds, rather ewww, but after visiting the coffee plantation and being explained exactly how it works I even agreed to try a cup of luwak coffee! It is very treasured in Bali, and one cup costs more than any other coffee, but it is tasty! I’m not a coffee drinker, so I probably couldn’t understand or feel all the difference, but it was good! Luwaks are nocturnal animals and sleep through the most part of the day, but I got to cuddle one and they are very friendly. So was the bat from the pictures!
Have a great week,
Julia xo
