Shangri-La, Abu Dhabi

Hey everyone! I’m starting a series of posts from my trip to Abu Dhabi a couple of months ago in November. I know it’s a bit outdated, but I didn’t want to mix these pictures with the Bali ones and decided to start when the other one was finished. So I am literally jumping from one to another, giving that the previous post is the final Bali one. I meant to put up something current in between them, but to be honest it’s really dark and wet these days in London, and I didn’t want to waste good outfits on the pictures that won’t be perfect due to the weather conditions. Fingers crossed it will improve soon and I’ll bombard you with my winter looks. But for now, I hope you will enjoy these sunny shots from a Shangri-La hotel in Abu Dhabi.

I flew in to join Patrik for the final Formula 1 race of the season. As his main job is shooting Formula 1, he gets to travel so much every year but I was never able to join him due to his busy work schedule. So imagine my happiness when I got this surprise trip back in September as my birthday present. I have never been to Abu Dhabi or anywhere around it ever before so my excitement knew no limits. I started researching what I should pack as I heard that the dress code for women is quite strict in that country. Everything I read and heard suggested to take maxi dresses and scarves to cover the shoulders while out in public places. Rules for resort and hotel areas were the same as everywhere in the world though, so here is my first look shot on the second day after my arrival. I am wearing next season Seafolly Australia kaftan and bikini which aren’t available in shops just yet, but I hope to give you an idea of what to buy straight after it hits the shelves.
