Desert Safari. Abu Dhabi

Hey guys! How is everyone? It feels more and more like spring in London which is one of my most favourite times of the year. It’s that time when you suddenly notice that days are getting longer and the sun is actually warming you more every day. I’ve been really enjoying our interaction with you guys on my Instagram (@julialundinblog) lately discussing weather and fashion. Let’s keep it up!

After the outfit posts from London Fashion Week I thought it’s a good time to take a little detour to something sunny, warm and unexpected, like my trip to a desert safari in Abu Dhabi back in November. It was my first desert and safari experience ever and to be honest the more people told me about it the more scared I got. I’m not very good with anything risky or extreme (don’t like when it’s too deep, too high or too quick) so the idea of jeeps doing crazy things at the crazy speed was a bit unsettling. Especially when I realised that due to the amount of people in the car I won’t be sitting near Patrik… And I’m very proud to tell you that I wasn’t scared at all! Yes, the cars were making breathtaking turns and driving at weird angles but it was fun! And desert was just so stunning! Like nothing else in the world! It’s just sand mountains wherever you look with occasional friendly camels and donkeys waiting for the visitors to say hi. We were very lucky with the clear sky that day as it created an unforgettable sunset view.

After the sunset we drove to a huge tent in the desert where we had a lovely dinner and could either just relax or go on a little camel ride, sand surfing or get a henna tattoo done. It was another first for me and it stayed visible for a week after I was back in London bringing the happy memories back every time I looked at it.
