Welcome To Conrad Maldives. Part 1

Paradise found guys! And it’s location is in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. I am back from spending almost a week there and am so overwhelmed with excitement and general bliss that I can’t wait to share everything with you.

ABOUT

Conrad Maldives can be reached by a 30 minutes seaplane flight after arriving to Male Airport. You also get an access to a Conrad lounge at the airport where you can have a massage, some food and a comfy rest while waiting for your seaplane departure. I have never been on a seaplane (or any smaller planes) before and being a ridiculously safety conscious person was a little bit worried about it. But I ended up really enjoying the flight! It was so smooth and the views of the

Maldives were so breathtaking that I didn’t even have a second to worry about anything. Taking a seaplane is also the best possible introduction to the islands. I have never seen anything like that! The colour of the water and the tiny little islands in the middle of the ocean created a truly magical first impression.
Conrad Maldives consists of two islands connected by a 500m bridge and offers three distinct resort experiences – you can choose to stay in the beach

villas on one island or the water villas on the other while still having access to all facilities that both islands have to offer. The Spa Retreat is a third experience which operates as a resort within a resort.
There are 8 restaurants and 4 bars in Conrad Maldives amongst which is a world famous Ithaa undersea restaurant.
Conrad Maldives has their own time zone which is one hour ahead of the capital, Male.

THE ACCOMODATION

For your stay in Conrad Maldives you can choose between 50 water villas on one island, 79 beach villas on the other or 21 over-water villas at The Spa Retreat. We stayed 2 nights in the beach villas and 3 nights in the water villas this time. I absolutely loved moving from one island to another as it allowed us to experience the differences between both.

Beach villas are hidden amongst the tropical greenery of the island and are literally about 20 steps away from the water. The newly refurbished villas are spacious and beautiful with an outdoor shower and a bath. Try taking a bath which is located outdoor yet under the roof while the tropical rain does its thing for a minute or two. It’s a completely different experience!

Water Villas are so romantic! With a private pool and an access to the ocean right from the terrace you have everything you need for the most relaxing stay ever. That said, you are still just a short walk away from the restaurants, bars, pools and beaches.

I will be telling you all about the restaurants and activities in my next post so stay with me.

And to wrap up this introduction I thought it would be worth mentioning that Conrad Maldives has been crowned:

‘Indian Oceans’ leading Culinary Resort 2015

‘Indian Oceans’ leading Hotel 2015 and 2016

‘Maldives’ leading Water Villa Resort 2016

Two-time winner of the Best Hotel In The World
