COMO Maalifushi, Maldives

WELCOME TO THE DREAMLAND OF COMO MAALIFUSHI

Hey guys! I am back to tell you all about my second COMO Hotels destination in Maldives to which I basically refer as ‘dreamland’. It’s quite easy to see why from the perfectly descriptive shot above. Just how cool is it to be able to see your destination like this? It’s like flying into a postcard! This paradise is called COMO Maalifushi and it’s the prettiest, most unreal place I’ve ever been to.

And before I continue (and while you can still see the shot of the island), I stayed in the second water villa from the left corner of the image.

We arrived to the resort by a sea plane, which is, by the way, an absolute must do activity in Maldives. The views that will open up below will forever remain at your ‘top most insane views ever’ list. The beautiful water villas were making me jumpy with excitement while I was shown to the one that would be my ‘home’ for a couple of nights.

There are 65 land and over-water rooms, suites and villas on the island and mine was facing the sunset side of the resort which made it very hard to leave it. It had everything you might need at its step: your private pool, the staircase to the ocean (where I could just stand and watch all the pretty Nemo-type fish swimming around me) and an outdoor lounge area. Add a sunset to it and your happiness is complete.

Over the next two days we indulged into amazing food, some fun activities and watched few stunning sunsets. I have saved lots of pictures from all that for a specially dedicated blog post. So do keep an eye if you’d like to know how you can spend a day on a totally castaway island, participate in the fish and shark feeding, get surrounded by dozens of wild dolphins and have a Japanese dinner of your dreams.
