THE BEGINNING

Longines Millinery Project has been one of the most memorable experiences in my career so far. It involved eight millinery students from Morley College competing in designing a bespoke hat for me to wear to Royal Ascot 2021. The winner was picked by me, Longines and an esteemed milliner Rachel Trevor Morgan.

THE FINALS

The students have taken inspiration from Longines slogan ‘Elegance is an Attitude’ along with my personal style and their unique design vision to create eight fabulous entries for the competition.

THREE FINALISTS

Picking just three finalists wasn’t easy as I loved every single hat that was created for me. I narrowed it down to a black and quirky hat by Nara Taylor, an elegant and structured blue hat by Sara Vanden Bon and a show-stopping piece by Anna Stefanou.

THE WINNER

WINNING hat

I picked Sara’s blue hat as a winner because on top of being sophisticated and elegant, it was also modern, unique and very ‘me’. It complemented my personal style the most and it made me feel confident. So congratulations Sara Vanden Bon on your win and thank you again for your talent and vision.

ROYAL ASCOT 2021

Ascot 2021/Longines

Sara and I then attended Royal Ascot with Longines and were treated to a beautiful day full of special memories. It was an honour and pleasure to be part of this project and I will cherish these moments and my new hat forever.
