Our Bali adventure continues and this post is from the fourth villa we stayed in called The Santai. Coming to The Santai which is located in the Umalas area gave us yet another view of Bali. This area is not touristy and feels very genuine. It seemed like we got a chance to observe local Balinese lifestyle as it is on a daily basis. There are endless rice fields in the area with people working in them. There are sidewalk corner shops and street food places everywhere. And there is a same level of friendliness that we already got so used to.
The Santai was also the villa with the biggest private pool that we had and I won’t over exaggerate when I tell you that we spent 85% of the days inside that pool. It’s also amazing how every new villa that we visited had something to offer that none of the previous ones did. The Santai for example had an open-air kitchen and dinning area where you could easily make your own meals every day in case you prefer that over going to the restaurant located in the main part of The Santai resort.
And as you can see from the pictures we got greeted by the most romantic rose petal bath in our villa! I couldn’t stop admiring or taking pictures when I saw it. Before this I’ve only seen anything like that in the wedding magazines. Thank you The Santai and wonderful team from The Luxe Nomad who made our honeymoon so special!
