Ever since I stayed in Luna2 Studiotel in Bali I couldn’t wait to write this post and share it with you guys! So excuse me if I sound a bit overexcited, though I’m sure you would be the same after visiting this beautiful and unusual place. But let me start from the beginning.
After The Luxe Nomad sent me the link to Luna2 Studiotel I couldn’t believe how funky and creative looking this place was. But what I’d seen online didn’t even remotely prepare me for its’ astounding reality. You know when you step somewhere that is just so unbelievably cool and you can’t stop saying ‘wow’ at every little detail and all of it is so ‘instagramable’? I felt like this throughout my entire stay in Luna2. It became the fifth home during our Bali adventure and certainly the one that stood out the most. By then we got used (if it’s even possible) to the luxury of private villas, pools and palm trees and seeing such an unusual pop art creation in the heart of Seminyak area was very unexpected.
Stepping into Luna2 Studiotel is like stepping into the set of the futuristic movie. From the sliding doors that remind you of Star Wars to the Monopoly themed floors, the interior design of the studiotel is on another cosmic level. Its’ owner, Melanie Hall, who is also responsible for the architecture and design of the Luna2, refers to her design style as ‘funked-up modernism’. She mixes elements of 60’s pop, futurism and fun. And it’s obvious in both the looks and the names of the different features that studiotel has to offer – Orbit restaurant, Space rooftop bar, Pop! lounge bar, Lunaplex cinema, In-Flight dining. I am going to give you a photo tour of all of them in my next post.
For now I hope you enjoy looking through this post as much as we did shooting it. It was one of the most fun settings we have ever worked in and I couldn’t be happier with the results. And I highly recommend you to spend time in Luna2 Studiotel and its’ ‘cosmic pads for globe-trotting gastronaurs’ if you are ever in Bali.
