Dressing Up for Christmas

Happy pre-Christmas weekend everyone! It’s just the best, most kind time of the year and I can’t wait for the parties to begin and for lots of festive food to be eaten.

Yesterday I got invited for a treat at Gigi’s Mayfair restaurant and decided to dress up in my most festive sparkly dress to honour the season we are in. Christmas and dressy sequinned dresses are sort of inseparable, but saying so, I have to admit, that sequins are hard to find in my wardrobe. Throughout the years I can remember just one beautiful dress made entirely of sequins that I got as a gift from my parents (I still have it) and I’m super happy to find one more to add to my collection. If you guys know me a bit then you know that I get very excited about food and it’s just my favourite F-word in the world. So, yesterday at Gigi’s was so good that it fell into my top 3 restaurant experiences ever. I am a dedicated Masterchef show follower and food at Gigi’s and it’s presentation made me feel like I’m on the show. It exceeded all my expectations, introduced me to unheard and unexplored flavour combinations (turbot with cucumbers and camomile foam, just to mention one) and left me wanting to return there many many more times.
