Cute Up

Hey guys! Remember how a couple of posts ago I promised that I’ll show you the versatility of this jacket? Back then it was worn with a fur vest (here) that it originally came with and today I wanted to show you the way I wear it separately.

London has been quite cold lately with even a little bit of a snow yesterday morning. So layers, knits and hats are my best friends these days. I thought I’ll step outside my winter comfort zone (which is jeans) and wear a skirt for a change. I’m so bad at wearing anything but trousers during cold months of the year though I always want to mix it up a bit. Normally those intentions remain unfulfilled as I end up prioritising warmth and comfort over a ‘chic’er’ version of myself. So with this look I hope I’m proving that winter outfits can be more fun and yet still very warm (the secret is in super warm tights).

The reason I called this post ‘Cute Up’ is because of a couple of my cute little accessories. One of them is an adorable baby giraffe brooch on my hat and another one is a fluffy Kenzo friend on the bag. It’s fun how little details like that can score you some compliments when out and about and can even bring smile to someone else’s face. The day I put this giraffe on my hat two people mentioned how cute it was while I was grocery shopping. Made me smile! So I’m sure if you guys go through your accessories drawers you’ll find something adorable to pin on your hat, scarf or even a coat. Wear it for a day and see if it lifts yours and people’s mood.
