High Street Outfit For Current Weather

written by Julia Lundin April 18, 2015

PL1_8234Happy weekend! Hope you are enjoying whatever you are doing right now whether it’s being out with your friends or staying home like me. I am home because sometimes I want nothing more than to just stay in and be cosy. I had a really manic week of running from one event to a meeting to yet another event. Sometimes I would change my location up to ten times a day. So my feet have politely asked me to take it easy today. So I had the most chilled afternoon when I finally finished reading the book Gone Girl and now I am about to cook myself a nice dinner and watch the Gone Girl movie. Sounds like a divine plan to me!

As you might have guessed from the title of this post this look is put together using only high street brands, meaning that it’s affordable and you don’t need to search hard to find these items. Some of them I had for a few years now (like this poncho for example) but generally you can find similar items almost every season. There are always faux leather trousers in stores these days, there is always some sort of poncho version to buy and nothing can be more classic than a pair of buckled ankle booties. This look is perfect for April weather excluding those couple of days here in London when it got to as hot as +24 degrees (!!!). Those were happy days but unfortunately they aren’t the norm for this time of the year. Also poncho is great when you are tired of jackets and coats  because you can wear several warm layers underneath and still be warm and look spring appropriate.

Julia, your style and your blog are amazing! I love the poncho you’re wearing here, I think I need something similar – it’s still so chilly, especially up north! I’m so eager for the warmer weather! x

So happy to discover your blog! Rather smitten by your style. This outfit looks like streetstyle straight from London Fashion Week. Love that you kept it fairly simple, allowing the poncho to cause all the (necessary) drama! The shoes and sunnies understated chemistry is certainly my favorite part,
