Jewellery With A Purpose

written by Julia Lundin April 15, 2016

Hey guys! As I mentioned in the previous post, we shot a very special project last weekend and I am beyond excited to finally tell you all about it. I teamed up with Cred Jewellery to show you some of my favourite pieces from its current collection and tell you the brand’s important story.

Cred Jewellery doesn’t only produce beautiful and high quality products but is also responsible for bringing Fairtrade silver to the UK and launching collections made from it. Fairtrade is an important business practice that supports local mining communities in Africa and South America and ensures that that people are paid fair wages, have safer working conditions and improved healthcare, education and the surrounding environment. As the demand for more gold, silver and precious stones increased with time, so did the pressure on suppliers to mine and produce more and more of it. And with that came an often-untold tale of exploitation. To be brutally honest, how often do we actually think about how our favourite piece of jewellery was produced? Not often enough if I judge it by my own experience. So to have Cred Jewellery make me more aware of the issue is just a part of why I really support and believe in this brand. Add to it that the jewellery is stunning, modern and unique and you see why I am so happy about this project!

I am wearing a Cred Jewellery necklace from its Signature Collection featuring a range of travel inspired amulets. The great thing is that you can stack several pendants together to create your own unique necklace with a special meaning attached to it. The charms I have chosen represent luck, destiny, eternity and protection – these personal meanings make the necklace a priceless and unique piece to cherish within your jewellery collection.

The beautiful ring that I am wearing is from its Iconic Collection which features an ethically sourced amethyst gemstone from Brazil, with a stunning geometric Cred flower design visible all the way through.

Hope you guys are as impressed with Cred Jewellery as I am and please read more about the importance of Fairtrade and check out all their designs here.

Beautiful photos and nice jewellery.
Good idea is also buying things from small, local craftsmen. Their products are fair trade often.

I. Am. Obsessed. With. LACE! So, naturally, this look is one of my favorites from you. The jewelry is simple and suits the detailing of your two-piece really nicely!
