The art of staying inspired

written by Julia Lundin November 9, 2017

When days are short and grey it’s easy to fall into a hibernating home mode with a slight ‘flavour’ of laziness, boredom and seasonal blues. So for those of us, who love photography and content creation these months can be quite challenging. I, myself, am the queen of Netflix and chill and that is pretty much my happy place. So how do I motivate myself this time of the year?

NATURE

It is my number 1 source of inspiration throughout the year! Nature always gives the best seasonal backdrop for your photography. You might have noticed how autumnal my Instagram feed is lately? It’s because nothing is prettier than those yellow and red leaves right now. And once we hit winter, and snow will start falling and Christmas spirit will take over, nature will surely present me with beautiful views all over again. You don’t need to go far to embrace the season, just look outside your window and try to see the beautiful details in everything.

PINTEREST

In the beginning of autumn I have created a new moodboard on my Pinterest called ‘Seasons’ and started searching for ‘goals’ shots to add to it. It’s addictive and occupies me almost every evening. From cosy steaming tea cups to fairy lights, I feel like my ideas library is neverending these days.
