Take it from my experience – there will never be enough space in the wardrobe, you just have to own less things. I have transitioned myself from someone who dearly held on to some of my high-school clothes (because even though I was probably (most likely) never going to wear them again, the emotional attachment was strong and I would end up with overstuffed closets but with nothing to wear) to the person who owns less, shops quality pieces in the similar colour palette so that all of them can be mixed and matched into a thousands of different outfits. You can call it a collection of perfect basics or a capsule wardrobe, whichever name you give it – it changed my life. This change didn’t happen overnight, and it took me years to get to this place of knowing exactly what to buy, understanding my style, finding confidence in always following my opinion only and not giving in to fast trends. So, today, I want to navigate you through the most basic pieces that you need to own (and you probably already have some if not all of them) to start building your own perfect capsule wardrobe. It should be quality, practical, versatile and functional. You have to have a considered and timeless approach to it. So take a look below.
